The author recently found in some fish farms, because many fish farmers do not understand the principle of aerator aeration, the use of some incorrect methods, not only can not achieve the effect of aeration, but also caused the serious consequences of hypoxia in the fish pond.

Aerator is generally started in two time periods, with completely different operating principles and effects.

1. Start about one hour before the night hypoxia, which can make the fish pass through the night hypoxia period smoothly and play a role in saving the fish.

2. Start at noon when the dissolved oxygen in the pool is extremely rich in sunny days. It can stir the surface water rich in dissolved oxygen to the bottom of the pool, so that the organic matter in the bottom of the pool (including feces, baits, biological bodies, etc.) can be decomposed in advance to prevent hypoxia caused by decomposition at night.

The aeration principle of the former is mechanical aeration, that is, the impeller is used to agitate the water, and the oxygen in the air and the upper water is dissolved in the whole water. The latter is biological oxygenation. Most of the dissolved oxygen water in fish ponds comes from the oxygen produced by phytoplankton photosynthesis, which is produced only in the presence of sunlight, and the brighter the light, the more oxygen is produced. Therefore, we should use the direct sunlight at noon and start the aerator when the photosynthesis is the most intense to stir the surface oxygen-rich pool water to the bottom of the pool to decompress the organic matter in advance, so as to prevent the organic matter from decompressing into harmful substances (including ammonia, nitrite, hydrogen sulfide, methane, etc.) when there is no oxygen at night.

Some farmers do not understand the aeration principle of the aerator, resulting in the wrong use. The main phenomena are as follows:

One, the daytime does not boot, the night long boot. Many farmers believe that the daytime fish pond is not anoxic, do not need to boot, they only recognize the role of mechanical oxygenation, ignoring the most important biological oxygenation. And the use of biological aeration, often can greatly reduce the time to open the aerator and save a lot of costs. For example, if the aerator is open for 1 ~ 3 hours at noon in sunny days, it can reduce several hours at night, or even more than ten hours to start up. This starting method can save 100 ~ 500 yuan of electricity per mu per year.

Two, cloudy and rainy day on the aerator. Many farmers think that the lack of oxygen in the fish pond in rainy days, should be opened aerator. In fact, this is a very wrong way to boot. The correct method is to prohibit the boot during the rainy day, because the rainy day despite poor photosynthesis, but the effect of oxygenation is much stronger than the effect of mechanical oxygenation. The small amount of oxygen should be stored on the surface of the pond for the fish to use at night. If the machine is turned on during the rainy day, the only dissolved oxygen will be stirred to the bottom of the pool to be used by organic matter, and the dissolved oxygen in the pool at night can not be supplemented enough, which is easy to cause hypoxia.

Turn on the aerator after 4 o 'clock in the morning and 4 o 'clock in the afternoon on sunny days. Some sunny morning also open aerator, think that this can increase oxygen, in fact, this is the wrong way to start. Because the mechanical aeration of the aerator is far lower than that of the biological aerator, as long as the fish leave the aerator in the morning, it should be shut down immediately. Some farmers think fish pond stocking density, water quality is not good, it is not dark to open the aerator. In fact, from 4pm to evening, as long as the fish pond is not near hypoxia, there is no need to turn on the machine, because at this time the opening will prematurely consume the dissolved oxygen on the water surface of the pond, and accelerate the hypoxia at night.

Four, sunny wind does not boot. Some farmers think that the wind has the effect of increasing oxygen, sunny noon can not boot. It's not entirely accurate. The wind does have oxygenation effect, but the convection effect on the pool water is not strong. The oxygen-rich pool water on the surface is difficult to convect to the bottom of the pool. Only when the temperature drops suddenly, the drop of the surface water temperature can make the surface pool water effectively convect to the bottom of the pool. Therefore, in addition to this case, sunny noon regardless of whether there is wind should be turned on.

V. In the first half of the year, the fish pond does not start up without floating head. Many farmers believe that the water temperature is low in April to June, the fish body is small, and the floating head can not be turned on. In fact, as long as the fish in a large number of food, a large number of defecation, water quality is fatter, sunny noon should be turned on. This can delay the season of fish floating head, reduce the degree of floating head. At the same time can make the pool water ahead of time to become fat, and can delay the deterioration of water quality.

In short, the correct boot method is: sunny noon boot 1 ~ 3 hours (3 acres or so boot 1 hours, 10 acres or so boot 2 hours or so, 10 acres or more boot 3 hours or so); Turn on the machine about 1 hour before the usual hypoxia time in the evening, and stop the machine immediately when the fish leave the aerator.

Special attention: rainy day when there is no sun can not boot; Night fish pond is not anoxic do not boot; In the first half of the year, fish do not start up before eating a lot of food and the water is not too fat. After starting up, fish do not leave the aerator and do not stop. After the sun comes out, fish leave the aerator and should stop immediately. Sunny days after the drug should be switched on; The next fat day is not open.
